I loved Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs. Not only was it a great movie, but the idea of a magical machine that could make meteorological cheeseburgers rain from the sky was almost biblical (to me, at least). Now, with the new trailer out for the sequel, Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2, I found myself with high hopes for laughs, childish excitement, and of course, sci-fi food wonder.
I have to say, the trailer did not disappoint. Brimming with food puns, adorable food creatures, and an absurdly amazing plot, it looks like Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs 2 will not disappoint. If you’re having doubts, tell me: How could a movie about a machine that, after left to its own devices, was able to create shrimpanzees, mosquitoast, jellyfish (I know its not completely a pun, but look at the image below and you’ll get it), and my favorite, the tacodile… SUPREME! be bad? If you say “obviously” I hate you. But regardless for my feelings for whoever, you should most certainly take the time to watch the trailer below.
Anna Faris, Andy Samberg, Kristen Schaal, Wil Forte and Bill Hader will all be voicing characters in the film, which is currently set to open September 27th, 2013.
Synopsis:
Flint Lockwood now works at The Live Corp Company for his idol Chester V. But he’s forced to leave his post when he learns that his most infamous machine is still operational and is churning out menacing food-animal hybrids.
